August 21, 2025 -  Milan, Italy -- Mayor Lucilo Bayron is setting the stage for something historic—Puerto Princesa’s Legacy Project, a bold plan to turn the city into the Convention Capital of the Philippines that can be seen to have been initiated within 3 years.

But this isn’t just about tourism—it’s about putting Palawan, and the Philippines, on the world map. Imagine convention centers, sustainable infrastructure, and global events happening in our very own Puerto Princesa—welcoming leaders, innovators, and cultural icons from all over.

And here’s the exciting part: The project isn’t going solo. It’s backed by powerhouse partners from Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Czech Republic, Germany, and Spain, ensuring international standards of growth and development.

This October 2–4 in Prague, Czech Republic, the project will take center stage at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, with top officials and business leaders in attendance—plus our very own Philippine Ambassador proudly standing alongside global partners.

Mayor Bayron puts it simply:

“This Legacy Project is not just about building structures—it’s about building a future where Puerto Princesa shines as a hub for business, culture, and international collaboration.”
