The much-awaited Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, finally dropped its first trailer!
The final seasons of Game of Thrones might have left viewers divided, but many fans are still interested to see the new prequel that the hit medieval fantasy show has spawned. To further fan the flame, HBO has finally unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming show. Check it out below:
House of the Dragon dials back to two centuries before the War of the Five Kings to tell the story of House Targaryen back when they were the rulers of the Seven Kingdoms. The series will detail the Dance of the Dragons– a historical event in the Game of Thrones universe where a civil war broke out between two Targaryens and their dragons.
Included in the cast lineup are Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, and more. Martin and Ryan Condal serve as co-creators of the series while Condal and Miguel Sapochnik serve as showrunners. House of the Dragon is set for release sometime in 2022.
