Maricel Soriano, Vice Ganda Lead Star Cinema Wins at 42nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies

ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema scored multiple wins at the 42nd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, with Maricel Soriano, Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre, and Lucas Andalio receiving top honors for their performances in “Meet, Greet & Bye” and “Call Me Mother.”

The family drama “Meet, Greet & Bye” won Movie Ensemble Acting of the Year, while Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was named Movie Actress of the Year for her moving portrayal of matriarch Baby Lopez-Facundo.

Meanwhile, “Call Me Mother” took home the Fan Favorite Movie of the Year award, with its stars Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre earning the Takilya King and Takilya Queen titles, respectively.

Child actor Lucas Andalio also won Movie Child Performer of the Year for his touching performance as Angelo de Jesus in “Call Me Mother.”

The PMPC Star Awards for Movies annually recognizes outstanding achievements in Philippine cinema.
